The longest lasting perfume

Match Perfumes bottle of a dupe perfume

At Match Perfumes all our perfume replicas are Eau de Parfum (EDP) and contain the optimum percentage of between 16% - 22% of the finest fragrance concentrates

Perfumes with a higher concentration contain more fragrance oils and less alcohol, therefore links to the longevity of the scent. Typically an Eau de Toilette lasts just a few hours where as an Eau de Parfum lasts about five to eight hours.

* In general, the higher the percentage, the longer it will last on your skin, and therefore, the higher the price.

Cologne (EDC) 2-4%

Eau de Toilette (EDT) 4-8%,

Eau de Parfum (EDP) 8-15%

Perfume 15-25%”.

Eau de Toilette vs Eau de Parfum

Many perfume houses offer their fragrances in both eau de toilette and eau de parfum. The bottles will often be labelled with the same name, however in most

cases the scents are tweaked to accommodate the different levels of concentrations used.

An eau de toilette would be a lighter, fresher version while the eau de parfum would be richer and more distinct.

Different notes carry different patterns of longevity which brings a contrasting dimension to the experience of the scent.

Stronger scents for longer lasting perfume

Perfume houses often re-launch an EDT in an EDP variant with names such as intense or extreme, to stimulate desire for the latest product and appeal to a modern audience.

However if you like an EDT, an EDP variant may change the scent, so there’s no guarantee it will smell the same, it’s not just a case of it being stronger.

Conclusion

As a rule of thumb, citrus, floral and green scents do not last as long as notes in the woody and oriental category.

It is best to spray the scent in places that generate body heat such as pulse points on the neck, wrists and even your ankles and the back of your knees, as warmth enhances the fragrance.

Dry skin could be a reason why your fragrance does not last. Applying an unscented body lotion, before spritzing on your perfume, will moisturise your skin and lock in the scent better.

Match Perfume replicas bottle

At Match Perfumes, we blend our inspired fragrances with the optimum percentage of concentrates for particular perfumes, to improve the staying power.

Due to the higher concentration levels, it is recommended our fragrances are given time for the middle notes and the lingering base notes to develop on your skin.
