Difference between eau de parfum and eau de toilette?
Amazon explains fragrance strengths and ingredients as follows:-
“Perfumery – Did you know?
Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum? While Eau de Toilette contains 5-9% of perfume oil, Eau de Parfum usually contains 8-14%. Eau de Parfums therefore last longer and smell more intense.
Natural or synthetic fragrances? Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer.
Notes and different smell after application? Perfumes are often designed with top, middle and base notes, and designed to smell different based on the time after application. For example, some top note citrus scents smell stronger immediately upon application, while a lavender middle note may be sensed after some time from application as the top note evaporates.”
At Match Perfumes all our fragrances are Eau de Parfum, which contain the optimum percentage (14% - 20%) of the finest essential oils. We only use ethically produced organic and natural friendly ingredients.
How We Source
What are Niche Perfumes
'Niche' is a term used to describe rare types of perfumes. Great niche perfumes always have two things in common; they are unique and expensive.
We are constantly looking for amazing fragrance concepts which we believe will really bring a touch of luxury to our customers.
Perfume is an individual choice and our selection panel needs to be wowed by what is available in the fragrance world.
How We Create
Every time we select a unique fragrance, our independent and IFRA accredited (International Fragrance Association) perfume house uses its expertise to analyse and create a perfume for us, inspired by our choice.
We stipulate that they use only the finest organic and natural friendly ingredients, that they are ethically sourced in their creation, with no limitation on cost.
How We Sample
The perfume house then sends us samples of the perfume essence in oil and eau de parfum form. Our panel tests the samples to ensure they live up to our high standards and expectations.
When we are happy with the results, we ask our perfume house to produce a limited sample run.
How We Introduce Our Range
Our range of fragrances have been carefully selected to appeal to a wide range of tastes.
We are constantly searching for inspiration in the niche & designer perfume market and when we discover a wonderful fragrance, we will produce a limited edition of 50ml, 5ml and 1ml sample bottles to gauge its appeal, which we will sell from £4.90, postage free.
Why we can offer these fragrances competitively
Up to this point the above route is followed by all the great and niche & designer perfume houses. The final selling price is then determined by promotion and marketing costs.
Every aspect of our production, from creating, blending, bottling, and shipping is done by hand.
At Match Perfumes our money is invested in the perfume and only the perfume to focus on what really matters; the best quality fragrances at an affordable price.
