Eau Sauvage Christian Dior
Eau Sauvage is a perfume for men that was produced by parfums Christian Dior and introduced in 1966. It was created by perfumer Edmond Roudnitska and was Dior's first perfume for men. It featured French movie star, Alain Delon.
Dior Sauvage, which officially launched back in 2015, is a very different scent to the original and was a relaunch of the 1966 classic.
Johnny Depp is the face of Dior Sauvage and is the perfect embodiment of an intense Sauvage man. A hero that reconnects with his deeper nature, inspired by wide-open spaces, an ozone blue sky sprawled above a rocky landscape, white-hot beneath the desert sun.
It has been described as:-
“A beautiful mix of bergamot, ambroxan, vetiver, lavender, and pepper, Sauvage nails the citrus opening to woody/earthy dry down quite effectively. It performs well, with a strong projection for an hour before being fainter in its dry down for some hours thereafter”.
With more than half a million bottles sold, Dior Sauvage was the nations favourite in 2019, outselling its nearest rival by over two to one.
At a time when unisex fragrances are becoming ever more popular, Dior’s Sauvage is unmistakably masculine.
